The raw material must be treated with mastery and a deep knowledge of the manufacturing technique. A style icon is essential and leaves no room for the superfluous. Being functional is what gives it its appeal.

Shape
The shapes must be essential and draw on tradition. We do not want to produce merely decorative pots, but rather the pots that we use every day. Those from our childhood, that accommodate plants, flowers and herbs in our homes and our gardens. Pots to be lived, that last over time, in harmony with nature and everyday life.
Matter
It is essential to obtain the right balance of elements present in terracotta. In addition to solidity, high porosity, which ensures the exchange of vital substances between the external atmosphere and roots, is vital. The walls must ensure transpiration and evaporation of excess water.
Transformation
Firing must be uniform and last as long as required to provide terracotta with the right resistance. The red heart of our pots, which can be observed by looking at a fragment of a pot in section, shows the perfect firing of all our pots.

Thorough checks ensure compliance with our standards. We regularly check that the main criteria are being met and are being implemented throughout the manufacturing of finished products.
Standards
Upholding standards is an important value to us. It means setting a benchmark to consistently refer back to, making it the heart of what a style icon is. For this reason, we don’t see a “standard pot” as something plain or ordinary, but rather as a style icon; the symbol of our manufacturing art.
